In this procedure the arthritic or damaged joint is removed and replaced with a prosthesis. Dr. Badia uses the Biopro modular thumb implant. This is a two piece implant consisting of a head and a press-fit stem. The prosthesis will replace the arthritic carpometacarpal (CMC) joint.
